Mission to Washington: April 25: As we have every year for the last several,
we urge all our members and the entire West Hempstead community, to participate
in the annual NORPAC Mission to Washington DC. This year's event will take
place on Wednesday, April 25. If you have participated in the past, you know
the value of the day, to the relationship between the United States and Israel,
and if you have not, it is a fascinating way to see how our government works,
to be up close and personal with members of congress and their aides, from both
parties. Don't rely on someone else to do what we each have the opportunity to
do as citizens of this great nation, in support of another great nation of

MEMO FROM THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE: The Welcoming
Committee welcomes new families to West Hempstead. Additionally, they arrange a
Friday night dinner to be delivered to new families for their first Shabbat. We
are looking for more volunteers that would be interested in offering to bring
Shabbat food for a new family when they move in. If you would be interested in
being asked to cook one or two dishes every 3-6 months (depending on how
